Are you curious in how your genes may affect your personality, beliefs and actions? Then, don’t miss this outstanding live PowerPoint presentation, the second in our now ongoing "Local Scholars Lecture Series" in partnership with Omnilore Learning in Retirement.
Join us on Zoom on Wednesday, April 24th, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, for “Genes, Personality and Beliefs” by Omnilore member Adrian Pruetz. This presentation was honored by Omnilore for being one of the more outstanding given during their Spring Trimester 2023 and will now get an encore performance for the PVP Village as well as for Omnilore members who did not have the opportunity to hear the presentation the first time it was given.
Adrian is a retired trial attorney who litigated many biotech patent cases. Over the years, she’s taken on many cases involving major biotech corporations (e.g., Roche, Genentech, and Abbott Labs). As a result, she has developed not only a keen interest in the biological and genetic sciences, but also a small degree of expertise. Adrian’s presentation is an outgrowth of an Omnilore study discussion group centered around David McRaney’s book, “How Minds Change: The Surprising Science of Belief, Opinion, and Persuasion.”
The lecture will be followed by a question-and-answer period. In addition, we invite attendees who may have personal experience, expertise, or interesting information concerning this topic to share these ideas with the Zoom group during the question-and-answer period. For example, perhaps some of you know of a grandchild who miraculously appears to exhibit the same exact personality quirks and characteristics as a great grandparent.
