Local Scholars Lecture Series: Barbie: A Cultural Icon **Virtual**

The topic will be based on the book Generations: The Real Differences Between Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, Boomers, and Silents - and What They Mean for America's Future by Jean M. Twenge. 

Our speaker will be Susan Strauss.  She will talk about the last six generations and how they can be viewed and understood through the changes that have occurred in the iconic American doll, Barbie.

·      Gen X, born 1965–1979
·      Millennials, born 1980–1994
·      Gen Z, born 1995–2012
·      and the still-to-be-named cohorts born after 2012
