Meet at the Regal at 12:30 PM; Opera runs from 1 – 3:30 PM
Join fellow Village members to watch this Metropolitan Opera performance of Salome in HD at our local Regal theater. Salome opens in NYC on May 17 th . Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts this Strauss’s white-hot one-act tragedy, which receives its first new production at the company in 20 years. Claus Guth, one of Europe’s leading opera directors, gives the biblical story—already filtered through the beautiful and strange imagination of Oscar Wilde’s play—a psychologically perceptive, Victorian-era setting rich in symbolism and subtle shades of darkness and light.
Meet in front of the theater at 12:30 pm. Tickets are reserved seating.
Cost is $29 if purchased through the Village (so that people can sit
together) or you can buy them at the door for $28 but seating with other Villagers isn’t guaranteed.
