The more we embrace the gifts of aging, the better equipped we are to face aging’s challenges.
In this spirit, the PVP Village is hosting Love of Aging Community Circles on three Fridays in April/May.This is a pilot program, and we hope to offer ongoing Community Circles if there is a demand.
The mission of Love of Aging Community Circles is to engage communities in creating a new narrative for aging. Love of Aging’s Vision: Older age is seen by people of all generations as a celebration of cumulative wisdom, life experiences, and the freedom to go for it.
Love of Aging Community Circles are salon-style gatherings led by trained Community Circle Hosts who facilitate the discussion. Karen Junker will facilitate our Village program.
Each topic lies at the intersection of attitude and aging, pioneering conversations that shift the prevailing narrative about aging in ourselves and others. The discussion questions spark new ways of thinking about old issues, help us discover the gifts of aging, and deepen the sense of community and connection within the Circle.
